Stumpjumper Collection

What happened to the Nitanium Rockhopper you got for its forks?
A bit random but I am curious about the brushed finish ones which it kind of looks like it was, well with my bad eyes on this tiny screen……

1983 Stumpjumper Sport, frame is marked 1982 so I think this may have been sold early of 1983 the first year that Specialized introduced the sport model. All original.

You might want to start your own thread, this one shows all my own bike collection :)

Very cool. I’m going down the same path with a lugged 85 Stumpjumper Sport and another off white one, the year of which is currently unknown (late ‘80’s early ‘90’s?). Don’t think I’ll end up with as many as you due to space/time/money/wife constraints. Can’t wait to get mine fully built with original parts and hit the trails that first time. Loved reading about your journey!
