Stuck bottom bracket.

Having obtained a lovely Spesh Rockhopper with 1" treaded fork I set about stripping the frame to build a fixie/singlespeed out if it. Trouble is, the fixed side BB cup is properly stuck in the threads. I have no vice and can't weld - no equipment. I've also tried Sheldon's way of a bolt and nuts to no avail. Any suggestions before I splash out on the removing tool?
I live in Hampton TW12, if it matters.
Thanks!

A vice really helps - i also blowtorched it, and i believe the expansion of the metal eased it

Don't want to use a torch as the paintjob is pristine. Have just bought a cup-and-bearings BB so the old cup stays and I'll rebuild the BB. With some Shimano cranks it'll look fine. Time for a half-link chain (although hopefully a regular one will be fine). Next time stripping I'll weld a bar to this cup and give it a wrestle. Thanks anyway, guys!

Try some coca cola down the seat tube and leave for a while.

Hi Charlie!
I've bought a lot from you, will do it again. At the moment I'm waiting for all the bits to arrive so they can be fixed before getting a chain/link.
BTW, have you got more of those 'More bears...' stickers? Would love another 3 to mark my singles ;-)
Take care!
