how do i know that i have the correct BB length for my frame.

the cranks seem to perch on the end of the bb axels but only just clear the chain stays!? does the problem lie with the crank or the bb?

any help would be great as im scared to ride it like this! :?

Hey guy,

To determine the BB spindle length, it is helpfull to know a few things;

Press in bb or threaded bb frame

Crank being used

Cassette utilized (7,8,9 speed)

Give up some info and we'll help ya out :)

cheers,

Hi dave,
Is it for the Yo I sold you? Does it still have the same BB in it? I cannot remember the width but it suited the Cooks that i ran on it. I had both Cooks and Kookas on my Funk and the kookas need a much wider axle- about 10-11mm wider if my memory serves me well. So I should imagine you'll need about the same on the Yo.

cheers

Hey guy,

Kookas took...

Bonnie crank, the standard, took a 107 spindle

Razor, the DH crank, took a 113 spindle

BMX Razor, 2 piece crank, took a 113 spindle

As mentioned before, you may have to increase your spindle length to achieve proper chain line.

If you have a press in bb, loosen the collars and you can slide the spindle to the drive side a bit.

If you have a thread in bb, you may need to purchase a new unit with a longer spindle length.

cheers,

rody
