I've got one in my stash, really tidy cosmetically and the visible stanchions seem pretty mint. I've not taken them apart to see what they are like inside, hoping to get some advice from anyone who has done so first. I do have the manual so that's going to help me.
My concern is that whilst the fork does compress and rebound, it's a bit squeeky. Could this just be a sign that it's all a little dry inside and a clean and lube would solve, or could it point to something else?
I'd like to sort them as they look really good on the outside, just some marks to the decals really and resplendent in red.
I'm sure the damper could do with an oil change, plus not sure on MCU condition. Anything else worth looking at once I've got them apart?
