If many of us who appreciate these bikes are thinking of selling them, who are we going so sell them to if many of us who appreciate these bike are thinking of selling them?
I just sold my 91 Zaskar on ebay to someone who seems to really appreciate it. He was very excited in our communication. He showed me a picture of a very nice Moots in his collection. If many of us who appreciate these bikes are thinking of selling them, who are we going so sell them to if many of us who appreciate these bike are thinking of selling them?
Wonderful sentiment -Gift ‘em.
The joy you will be returned to you is way greater than what money will bring.
It’s only a material object, making others happy is what you’ll be remembered for when you’re gone.
True that.Wonderful sentiment -
You have to be careful though -
if somethings got for nothing, that can be how much love and care it gets.
We see loads of neglected nice rare or interesting bikes, the owner insists it’s not worth fixing or even maintaining because they got it cheap or free.
A good point! The small amount of stuff I still had for sale on eBay is slowly shifting. Some of it had been on there for months as well. Do you think there are many people outside of Retrobike who have an interest and appreciation just not enough to be part of a forum? If many of us who appreciate these bikes are thinking of selling them, who are we going so sell them to if many of us who appreciate these bike are thinking of selling them?
I say cryogenically freeze them.If stored a vac bag is a great idea.
Down the well!Throw them down a well, like our grandparents did with their Nortons and BSAs
