Storage wars

Hello everybody

This must be a problem a lot of us on here face, where do we put it all?

I have an incredibly accommodating Mrs that has submitted the shed, large cupboard under the stairs and, frequently, proportions of the kitchen.

I’ve found that cardboard bike boxes from Halfords have helped maximise shed storage and plastic crates of various sizes (B&M bargains!) organise things under the stairs.

Apart from buying less and selling more (!) has anyone got any magic tips to help manage the hoard?

Cheers

Will

I keep most of my hoard at work. Safer than at home (air conditioned too!). There's just not enough space at home.

MMMmmm ^^^^ and it also stops the wife knowing how bad your addiction has become. Works great until you move jobs or retire :D

100% that! There are two project bikes knocking about that she doesn't know about. I don't intend to switch jobs or retire any time soon so I'll be good for a couple of years...

Re:

I have 1000 sf garage and still not enough space. 8 hanging form the ceiling and 8 in other parts of the house.

Amen. Earlier in the year I managed to move one bike on almost exactly as the "new" one arrived. Missus didn't even see the courier bringing the new one arrive.

We were cleaning out the one of the bike storage areas together the other day, and I could see her look a little puzzled there was still a bike there after I'd pulled the first one out. Pre-empting her query I simply said it was an old one and she said nothing else.

Re:

When I lived on my own the whole house looked like a bike shop. Not long after my fiancee moved in we decided to move house so my only input was that I had to have a garage!

I like my garage.
