The ti seat clamp just looked at odds with the seatpost, so hunted around for something in black. There are not many 33.1 seat clamps available it seems, but this ‘Gusset Clench’ fits the bill…. looks neater and ties in with the headset too.

Good call, hard to resist fitting super nice parts in hand but that does look more elegant.

Another route if you liked the seat clamp could be to cover the dropper top with black headshrink. Easy to remove and pretty durable. I did a whole seatpost in it once as I didn't like the finish/graphics. (edit. stopped it at the top of the seat tube)

Also decided to fit the Duro Crux…. had it in the cupboard for a year for a previous build so thought I might as well give it a try…. and what a monster it is!

Popped up with not too much effort tubeless too.

And the matching, colour-co-ordinated bike socks were not planned…. honest!

3.25 on the front makes the 2.8 on the rear look like a 2.4!

Spoke with Andy and he’s confirmed there’s room for a 3.25 in the rear no problem, so have just ordered another to complete the Monster Truck look!

CK fitting kit arrived today, so can get the cranks set up properly.

The other 3.25 tire is here too now so that should see this thing finished!

NOS M959 pedals arrived today!

Keep kidding myself I should try flat pedals, but I just prefer spds, so the Pembree pedals will get sold before they get used and these will take their place beneath my feet instead!
