Stolen KONA Hei Hei

Join the CTC forum as well, it's free to just be a forum member. There's a guy there, PC Frank I think, who is a copper with the Bristol Plod responsible for reducing bike theft in the area, probably a useful chap to get in touch with.

EDIT:

Found a link to his introductory post, he gives his PC number and the station he works out of.

Hei Hei

I don't know the frame number but it can be instantly recongnised from the repair to the welds between the chainstays ajoining the BB, stickers were also a bit shabby.

Hei Hei

Hi all,

Just been through the KONA gallery and from looks of the other bikes there i would date the one I had stolen as a 98 model. It had the black decals. It was stolen in June and could turn up on evil bay anytime so keeps all yo eyes open.

Cheers Bergy.

That sucks.
It seems Bristol is a nightmare for bike theft.
I'm not in your area, but will keep my virtual eyes open.

It's also worth setting up auto-searches on Ebay and local Craigslist.

Bristol is bad for theft full stop!

Friend at work had his garage raided a while back...they managed to get bikes out through a tiny gap over a Landrover roof, certainlydetermined f**Kers.

I'll keep an eye out...Hei Hei's aren't that common compared to other (modern) bikes and with that repair it should be even easier to track down.

sorry to hear about this, experience tells me that if thieving scumbags want something it takes a lot to stop them, insurance can be a joke as well, two years ago my shed was broken into and 3 motocross bikes were stolen, my old yamaha and a crf 450 that was brand new and i hadnt even rode yet, along with a friends ktm i was supposed to be fixing, insurance didnt want to know however they did tell me that if it was the same moneys worth of fishing gear then they would have paid out...

Everyone with any bikes that are worth anything should double check their policies to make sure that they are properly covered! otherwise you end up having to buy your friends new motorbikes and not being able to get a new one for yourself...

I live nowhere near you but i am another one who will keep my eyes open! Good luck mate and i hope you find your bikes again soon.
