Stickers

Whats the feeling on putting stickers on your bike.
You know the kind,the ones you use to get with either the aftermarket product or free on MBUK
Hope/Kore/continental etc
If you bought hope discs you may put stickers on the forks and rear stay
Anybody else do this BITD?

Yes, I lathered my '03 Gringo in MBUK stickers the week I got it...

Hope stickers on the forks, RaceFace, WTB, howies... loads all over the shop


...6 months later I removed all the stickers, barring the ones under the lacquer...

only if they were wicked cool ie THE ( toby henderson enterprises ) not the obligatory hope sticker on a bike without hopes

im more the guy who just keeps them as once youve used them its gone

a mate covered his living room door in stickers , looked cool . he would also have strange ones made , the kitkat chunky one was very cool . infact anything a bit oddball like " i love linedancing " stella bottles were often carefully liberated for headbadges ( khe used the idea for the premium lagger )

im a massive fan of stickers, but, only in moderation. plus, a few rules must be 'adhered' to:-

1. no point advertising for something you dont have, so rockshox stickers on a rigid bike, not a good idea.

2. symmetry is very important, so you need two copies of mbuk to make both sides of the bike look right.

3. only original stickers need apply, so those free mbuk junk peelies you just bought? no good.

Oakley stickers were all the rage from what I can remember

Only ever put stickers on my tool box, not a fan like things simple

my bike has still got some of the stickers i put on BITD. MBUK mint sauce, shimano and a couple of arty ones from slam city skates, I know i know! but they used to have fat sticker book with some really cool stickers, like a toddler on a trike with a menecing look dressed like evel knievel.

I have some 900 stickers collected over the last 15 years - I used to use them on all my bikes an helmets but then bought a beautiful D2 which has more than enough grafix on it.

BTW Troy Lee Designs are the schizzle, nothing else comes close not even Hope's original stickers of which I have a pile hidden away....
