Stereotypes for retrobike folk….

On the whole, I feel a little bit disappointed by your insta stats. I was genuinely hoping the demographics of the RB community fell predominantly into the 65 plus category.

It now looks like I am going to have to wait longer than expected to buy up bikes cheap from surviving relatives.

If your in his biggest group...so say 40....and your looking for bikes from your teens...that's 2000. We stop at 97..🤣. No wonder we are a load of old farts on here.

It also explains why nobody wants to buy my old tat!

Theres nobody left riding who hankered after those 80s bikes as a teen.

Even if they were about, and wanted one, they now can't remember it anyway...🤣

I suspect, as others, that if you ran similar investigations on different platforms you'd see a different picture, insstagtam is very much swayed to the 30 to 45 market whilst tik to is a much younger generation and this forum an older. Add in MySpace and face book* to get the really oldies and you'll get a less bias answer.

*and those still buying loot, mustn't forget them.

I’m 40 and my interests lie from 93-98 mainly.

I actually think the stats seem spot on as most of the guys I know are in the 35-50 age group for sure.

We're curmudgeons!
That was brilliant I don't think he missed anybody at all 😂😂
Do you think we could convince him to join us at the inn 🤔

I suppose at 56 instagram is just too young for me, I can just about tolerate FB as I do prefer forums and old school BBS yapping on MIRC (christ Im old)
