Need a 1" steerer for Pace RC-35 have a 1" 1/8 to exchange, or buy.
Thank you.

If an rc35 steerer will fit an rc36 I might be interested in buying your 1 1/8 steerer. His long is it (above crown)?

I need a threaded 1" steerer tube Rock Shox crown (at least 187 mm long) that will work with Mag 21 or Mag 20 stantions (same diameter) for my Brodie Romax build.

I will purchase outright, or I have the crown off my Mag 21 SL-Ti's with a 1 and 1/8" unthreaded steerer, 182 mm long - crown's faces are in an exceptionally good condition, and there are a few minor marks at the very top of the crown where someone had pried an existing crown race off the tube (would be covered by the new race), and a couple fairly minor scrapes on the tube itself ...

or, I have the crown off a Mag 20 fork, with a threaded 1" steel steerer tube that is 178 mm long ... in excellent condition (steering tube itself has some minor age/time pitting, but is cleaned up and nicely polished to a most acceptable condtion).

i can e-mail pics of the units to anyone who might be interested ...

Thank you for your help ...

Hi,

I have a set of Pace RC35MXCD with 1" steerer tube (240mm long) and 1/4" to 1" crown reducer.

I'd like to convert them to a 1 1/8" steerer and assume I need a 1 1/8" steerer tube (min 230mm long) and 1/4" to 1 1/8" crown reducer?

Happy to swap or buy? (Do I need anything else to make them fit a 1 1/8" headset, e.g. crown race?). I'm rebuilding a 1993 Parpre Team 925.

Thanks

I'm interested in your 1" steerer. Is 240mm the full length of the steerer? Does the steerer have an outer circlip on the bottom edge?

Once fitted the Pace crown reducers have a bit that sticks up proud of the crown that the crown race fits over. Once you get one that''s all you need.

Re:

Wanted 1" threadless steerer minimum 220mm for RST forks.
Buy or swap for a 1" threaded 215mm RST in very good condition see pic

Re:

I think some people may not read the first post any more, here is the jist of the point of this.

RetroBiking community at it's best.

The long and short of it is this - us taller, ganglier gents are crying out for steerers and clamps to restore our leggy steeds, only to find at every turn, they have been butchered, buggered and reduced!

This thread is now the OFFICIAL STEERER KARMA EXCHANGE area - when you have a steerer and clamp you are about to cut down, check with us willowy-types for a perfect swap.... in return you receive a thousand karma points!

Simply post up here that you are about to cut down say, a Manitou 1 and ask here whether there are any to swap that may be closer to the length you require, then exchange!! Suddenly us giraffes will be able to ride again instead of being forced into extinction...

It's not a wanted section to buy, it's to find if anyone needs your longer steerer before you cut it and they have the right length you need
OR if anyone has a longer steerer they can swap for your shorter steer just in case they are thinking of cutting it down

(or threaded to ahead)

SWAPS, not buy or make any money from it.

Re: 1" Manitou answer crown/ steerer

After a 1" crown steerer for a set of Manitou answer forks, bought then realized the fork was 1"1/8..
will measure the height tomorrow.

Hope this is in the correct section
UPdated: found NOS crown on ebay from Poland so now sorted!
thanks all

Hi,
I have two steerers, neither of which are the size I need!

I have: 1 1/4" threaded, 175mm long,
1 1/8 ahead, 280 long.

I need: 1" threaded, 200mm long,
1" to 1 1/4 reducer. This is to fit a Pace fork, if that makes a difference.

Does this suit anyone's needs?

Thanks!
