i found a pic of me having a tumble , he had another but i guess itl take a bit longer to filter thorough

from what i remember i was just too tired to lift the bars and land properly , i came into contact with the right hand side and went over , rolled , picked the bike up untwisted the bars and carried on . many years riding bmx and you learn to take a fall . yes that is a pefectly smooth way on the left of the pic , but as this was the first time id seen the course i didnt know it was there

this is the fella i was too knackered to pass on the last few sections before passing in a big sprint at the finish

you know the guy with the jones ? as i was riding down he said he got a pic . he came up to me and showed me it at the finish as he had stopped to take pics and only did the one lap

he took another as i started to go over . i think it was a bit of a flip with a roll so i rolled back to my feet looking up at the bike infront of me . i still beat that other guy to the bottom

As i'm still slogging home one could believe I have a single speed car, seems like it with all these hills. Still pleased as punch that I completed the race and wish to point out to Perry that he was faster than at least one scot as I finished some time after him.

Great course, great scenery, great race, great organisation, great company, great spirit everthing was just great

i'd like to say I can't wait for next year but that would be a very big fib. i'm still sore and shattered as I will be for sometime but those who were not there missed a trully great time.

Highlights for me was velo, rolling over the line after completing the two laps , the very varied and at times tesing trails the relaxed SS attitude as well as fun crowds and lots of groovy retro bikes.

Amazing moment was seeing Kaiser finishing the race with a whole bike, you will need to post a picture of your crack kaiser .

Revenge moment of the race was getting told to get a move on by a GIRL mountain biker on the very rocky downhill jungle section only to catch her on the steep switchback climb and ask her if she could move her arse out of the way Did have a beer with her at the lager pit stop

It was pretty cold and thank the lord those noisy barstewards camping next to me buggered off to play in the woods at 2am or else I would have got no sleep at all .

My top bike of the meet was dave's dyna splash of colour
