So my latest build is my most modern. I've pinched the magura mt6 from my 29er thinking they would bolt straight on to mt rebas from the sids. No dice, with the same 180mm rotor I need an adapter.
I've loads in the stash but none are post/post +20.
I do however have some sram/avid tower adapters which are just some alloy spacers which make up the gap a more standard adapter would. They have a recess to allow for the v brake mount style conical washers that allows adjustment.
Not having used such a thing before, wondering if they will simply just do the job of a standard adapter, or will the cone/washer arrangement cause issues by working loose etc. That and there must be a reason that standard adapters join both mounting points, and these are no more than just long washers .
Am I over thinking?
Should I just get a normal adapter?
