Spotted 1990 Kona Cinder Cone.....but not as we know it!?

I spotted this while walking along a local street today! Its not quite how mine use to look!?

Take the rack and mudguards off it and I think it looks alright!!

Bought the frame (w p2 and orig stem) off bay. Splatter had been painted a (horrible) purple so I had this p-coated petrol blue and have scavenged the following near- period and new parts: WTB rim w Parallax hub (rear), mavic enduro EN320..front w/ Deore hub; Exotic 1 inch carbon fork (from previous build). Strong-lite cranks, 2 rings in front (46-38?); 8spd Deore LX rear mech; campag mirage front mech; av bb-5 front disc; shimano pro-max (for now) rear v-brake. Orig. Kona flat bar (ever tried hack-sawing one of those? Maybe my blade just dull but man that is strong, thin steel. Might go for risers with a sweep though as didn't like grip position on my first commute...

The exotic fork makes it special, handles beautifully and keeps an already light bike that way..

If one with a brutal riding position - really low bars compared to saddle. :shock:
