Before taking it to the dreaded bay of the E, is anyone interested in fishing with, ahem, older tackle?

Hardy Perfection palakona 9'6" split cane rod with non original bag, looks to be in lovely condition, just the slightest of bends in the top piece (it's a 2 piece)....£120

Farlows Cobra 3 1/2" fly reel in non original case, again looks fine, has a line on it but I would think it needs replacing...£30

Can get pics up if there's a sniff of a bite....

Always up for swaps on something, looking for a frame or complete bike, 14" ish MTB or 20" ish road frame/bike....

I use retro gear and have a Hardy Palakano Pope, 2 Hardy Walker carp rods amongst my massive collection of reels.Good to see another brother of the angle....

Re:

Well, I'm a girl, but I get your drift...

I have used this type of stuff before and caught fish, it's actually my Dad's but I'm tempted to keep it and have another go....rod was valued at £150 plus by the game fishing place he uses but they already had a couple for sale so didn't want this.

Always gone well on ebay when I've had other rods of his, but with all the rule changes in favour of the buyer, I'm reluctant to risk someone wanting to send it back as there's a tiny scratch somewhere I hadn't logged and described...

Re:

Keep it,seriously, all the plastic carbon and kevlar rods I have are expensive bits of nothing that fulfill a purpose but leave me cold,my old stuff like the Hardys,Mitchells,Aerials etc are for life.

I'd hang on to it.

Another retro fly fisher here who uses older quality cane rods.

Re:

Just had a (very small, almost minuscule) PPI refund, well possibly in 4 weeks time, going by HSBC's record to date of leaving everything until the deadline....

So may give Dad a bit of cash for this and keep it until I have the time to have a go at fishing again ;)

Re:

Soz, have decided these really need to go as I'm skint even with the as yet non refunded PPI, and Dad keeps asking if it's on ebay yet....
