Spooky Bandwagon Bottom Bracket

Hello,

I may be picking up a spooky bandwagon from from my brother as the DS-1 hasn't worked out (too small), what adapter do I need to convert a BMS bottom bracket into a standard one? I know DMR used to make one

DMR wondercups, that was the name I was trying to remember.

Managed to find another manufacturer making new ones. Hopefully it works, i'll post some photos of the build later.

I have a full set of gear to move over from another bike, including a pair of 98 Z1's I rebuilt a few years back

I’ll give the same advice I always do when someone building a spooky up.

Go for properly stiff parts. If you use normal cranks , or weak wheels it will ride crap. They are built like tanks and show parts weakness. Z1 are decent so that’s a good start.

Mine has profile bmx cranks , chubby bars , 24 inch sun rhino on big uns etc

She built, just need to sort the rear tyres (Tioga DH 2.3) as it is rubbing on the frame!

They're very good looking bikes, always lusted after a Metalhead as a teen!

I don't know what the frames go for, this was picked up for about £80 a few years back! Probably look at a lot more than that

Slightly embarrassing question, it would appear I put the bottom bracket in the wrong way round, the right hand side hollowtech shell goes in the left hand side.

Whats the long term impact? They came loose today (or I hadn't tightened fully...)

Well, some reading, having the threads backwards means that the bearing causes the cup to loosen. Urgh, removing the cups is going to be a long hard hammer job
