Specialized Stumpjumper M2 Team

Just visible through the frame’s triangle of the bike in front, I noticed Stumpjumper on the yellow-ish bike at the back on the only picture of an advert on the Dutch graigslist, Marktplaats.

I bought it unseen for little money and it was only when I got back home, that the extra decals drew my attention; M2 and Duralcan.

Based on some basic research I think I’ve collected a Specialized Stumpjumper M2 Team from 1991, according some well-hidden spec’s it was the only year that the color Platinum was used.
An opinion that is supported by the spec’s list that mentions all kind of suntour components and Dia-compe cantilevers (http://mombatbicycles.com/Specialized_Specs.htm)

But, and here’s the but, the spec’s list does not mention a dual-air Specialized front fork? That was only to be the next year, 1992.
Also there is some confusion web-wide about the seatpost’s diameter, it varies between 26.6, 26.8 and even 27.0 (Sheldon Brown and others)

Can any of you Specialized fans help me out please?
@stumpjumper1990?

Is it this bike from the 1991 Mini Catalogue - but with retro fitted suspension forks?

Very nice find, congratulations.

(And I have a 1991 27.0 Specialized seatpost looking for a home)

Hi Repacker,
Thanks for the brochures, it is definitely that bike with forks that were only introduced the next year.
I'm new in the blog scène; you posted also a post from a German site?
Someone in search of this frameset?
Just a sec with the seatpost, I might be on track with one close at home.
With where (country, nationality?) I'm communicating now?
Grz
