Specialized S-Works - enlighten me!

The M, as I understand, relates to the metal matrix sructure of the tubing. Always wanted a stumpy M2 as I lusted after them as a yoof. The numbering, not sure what thats for. Always thought the s-works looked good.

Ive got just a "normal" stumpy M2, not the s works but it is still light as anything and great to ride.

Really not too sure what the difference is

I always assumed s-works = specialized works team, as the sponsored riders bikes mostly had s-works badge

as for m2, m4, m5 according to the sticker on frame its the mixture of metals

S Works is the Specialized Skunk Works where they develop new stuff with various pro's and other people testing it and giving input as far as I remember.

M is the number of elements added. Hence there wasn't an M3. I never owned an S Works, but the M frames are brilliant

Not all S-Works are US built. I have an 03 Epic and a 95 Steel and neither were US made.
