Specialized FSR (Retro MTB Mountain Bike) - Jason McRoy + Bits - eBay in Chester

Provenance from the seller:

I worked at NWMTB eons ago and Jason had this bike for sale. My mum, who was by herself at the time bought it for me and it was well used... I rode it almost daily and also raced it nationally for a couple of years. But the bike didn't make up for my lack of talent! I have a picture of me racing it somewhere in Shropshire in the 90's. So I've owned it from when he sold it. It's not changed hands since. I got back into downhilling a few years later and used bits off this bike on a new rig. I regret that now of course. At this stage, we're still talking over 20 years ago. Since then, the frame and bits has been in a cellar, storage unit or garage at some point. I've debated keeping it and restoring it for light trail use. We go to Morzine a lot and I have visions of using it over there as a novelty. But TBH, I've just not got the time to do it. I also thought to simply hang it up as a piece of art!

The eBay pics for the record:
Good idea, even the pics will be of use and interest. Here's the full images from eBay before the listing is removed in due course

I’m not sure if I’m glad or sad I let it go, think I’m relieved. I’ll decide when/if we see it cleaned up in due course.

Think I was just anxious that a lot of the nice bits had heavy wear or corrosion beyond the dirt. Given it did couple more race seasons after JMC sold it on.

Yes it’s probably a good thing as I’m skint currently as saving for an exhaust and it would be an expensive thing to do correctly I feel.
