The Scalpel is gone ... :shock: yep, the bike I thought was THE bike and built up over a period the last 18 months to a sub 20lbs flying machine is now doing (according to its new owner) what it was supposed to do ie. being a proper XC racer and not being trundled about by a slightly too fat and unfit lump like me, I hope its happy now.

So whats in its place ?

Never ridden one, think it looks a bit wierd but its gowing on me, hope I've done the right thing :?

A 29er ... never thought I would go there. Not going to be standard issue though as I bought frame only and have added some 120mm Reba RLT rather than the standard Fox 110mm forks as from several comments about the Camber it works well with a slightly longer fork. Will also be migrating all the SRAM XX kit across from the Scalpel and hope to make this into a reasonably lightweight build (under 25lbs).
