The fella is advertising a 31.8, looks like it has shims.. I was asking if, when shims are removed, the bracket is a 34.9 diameter as that is what I need

The mech is 31.8 only, the black plastic parts that look like shims act as part of the clamp and help stop the dirt from getting in behind the clamp.

Are You 100 percent sure about it?
It's not just that plastic part, but also that aluminium part are actually shim.

Just checked and you are correct, the plastic comes away WITH a metal shim to leave a clamp size of 34.9!

So any takers?
