Sort of retro problem for you engineers out there

Hunting through my garage last night I chanced across my long forgotten early 00's Azonic ali frame.

Years ago I managed to rip off the non replaceable deri hanger - I ran it as an SS for a year or so then retired it for an early steel DMR which I flogged on. It's a nice wee frame and I fancy that I could build it up cheap as a run around.

So I have a couple of choices, one is to build as an SS bike and run as is - painful with all the hills round me

Or

Would any of you engineers out there think it possible to (and bearing in mind it has a BMX plate style horizontal dropout.....)

a) Have a mate CNC the plate to allow a new dropout to be bolted on ala
http://www.dmrbikes.com/?Section=produc ... mid=FPSOUT

b) Have same mate drill the plate horizontal dropout and thread a hole to run a mech into it? - Though I think this would move the mech over too far and cause alignment issues

c) give up and have it as wall art?

No photos at present but will remedy this early next week

Run it as a SS again - gear it 32:18 and you'll be surprised what you can climb once you get into it again.

Anyway, everyone should have at least one singlespeed in their stable IMHO :)

Or get another mech hanger welded on ?

Difficult to say without seeing pics but if it is a large plate style dropout, it should be quite easy to knock up a new hanger which you can then bolt on.

Anyway, everyone should have at least one singlespeed in their stable IMHO

Agreed :)

Forgot to say, eith of these options will limit your ability to remove rear wheel too easily!
