So new bike, doing some adjusting, whats going on with the seatpole, allen key won't fit...OH! Torx, ok then, whip out multi tool and torx away... then discover all the in house brand stuff is torx...hmmm thats new to me, but hey, wave of the future and stuff.

Today, pondering the grips, toss and replace with ones I like...possible even run bar ends on these new fangle super wide bars? Lock on's, oh look thats a teeny tiny torx, none of my multui tools have one of those. Off to the store to get one.

So looking at the grip, undo it and What in The Fu!!!!! the grip is part of the suspension lockout mount!
Who in the heck thought that was a good idea? Grips are consumables, discovers I can pull it all apart, but then you have to shim up the lockout lever.... ugh.

Trying to set the shock, says pressure to 10mm of sag on the shaft... OK but nowhere can I find an indication of the pressure, I'm at 200psi, no idea if thats about to blow it up or just reasonable...

blah humbug!

Re:

I feel your pain, whilst assembling the new shock/wheel/disk brake front end for one of my bikes today I discovered that the caliper mounts with an allen key but the disc rotor needs torx - from the same manufacturer and bought as a set!

My new forks have a pressure guide on the side but I foolishly imagined I could use my track pump, apparently not because it is the wrong type of pump!! What!! So now I need to go out and buy a shock pump, anyone got one going cheap?
