Are you looking to get into recumbents? I like them but never bought one. I rode a few. M5s and Challenges, Dutch brands. Whenever I see a velomobile I think about getting one. But they are expensive.

These trikes apparently are very quick and nimble and fun to ride. Stable, not all recumbents are.. The m5 i rode was so nervous I had a hard time keeping it going in a straight line. About as expensive as a velomobile the trike is, I know what I prefer.

The first link is more of a very stable and relaxed city ride. Gazelle and Giant made similar things. They called it a sitbike (zitfiets). Judging from drivetrain not much later than 98?

1. what disc brake? it's got drums front and rear.
2. that's a 1.5" seamless steel tube, it isn't going to snap.
3. the laid back caster on these makes them stable but they have a tendency to fall in sharply to tight corners, it takes a bit of getting used to.

they are surprisingly quick and a joy to ride on flat and level surfaces, for the most part, they also attract a lot of attention. unless you've tried one then you can't really comment, they are not like a normal bike. Give one a fair go, you might like it. :) (note, I don't ride a recumbent any more, it's in the loft waiting for when I have space for it again).
