Wanted Some wheels for my Gary Fisher

Dirt Disciple
When I re-commissioned my 1996ish Gary Fisher, the hub bearings and races were heavily, heavily pitted. So I did the right thing and rammed them full of Phil Wood hub grease and ran them a tiny bit loose for a couple of years, just around town. I'm actually quite enjoying the bike now though, and the play is getting pretty bad. Unfortunately the pitting on the hub races is not easily repairable.

Any mid-90s, inexpensive, 26" Shimano 7-speed compatible wheels knocking about? Or 36h hubs. Bonus if near enough SE London for me to pop over and collect.

I'd spend some money on some mid-late-90s Goldtec's, but I'm not holding out.

Can do you 36H a hub pair (RM30 rear, RM50 front) for £15 posted. All regreased and smooth.

@hamster Just the right thing, could build those up on my existing rims. But, before I do...

@Minifreak Have you got some pictures?

Not pretty (yet) was going to clean and sell as part of a groupset off a bike someone gave me after their child went crazy painting it 😂

Araya rims on Shimano Acera hubs, rim walls have no visible wear.

Price reflects need to clean paint off so tenner plus post.
