Really sad to see something like this split, dont really get why that would be neccessary. It will never be rebuilt originally again after this.

Well it's quite simple for me.
1. I won't ride it because I 've got other bikes that I like more than this one, 2. I haven't got the space to store it, 3. nobody wants to buy it as a complete bike and 4. nobody wants to buy it as a frameset.
I must say I've always liked the look of these bikes and I agree it's a shame to take it apart.
But, actually, it's quite simple to build it up again so this doesn't have to be the definitive end of this Trek 9200. It just needs a caring new owner who wants to spend 25 pound and some old DX / XT parts.
