For sale is this steel Italian Somec frameset built with Columbus SPX tubing.
Trademark Somec cosmos/space themed paintjob with unique details around the lugs.

Specs:

Model: Somec Elite SX
Model year: Early 90's (my guess)

Columbus SPX tubing (Similar to SLX with helical reinforcements but mostly used for larger frames.
Not as light as SLX but due to its increased wall thickness perfectly suited for the heavier rider),
Cinelli lugs branded with flying C, nice details throughout.
Chromed Columbus SPX forks with Somec engraving.

Sizing:
Seattube: 58,5cm C-C / 60cm C-T
Toptube: 58,5 cm C-C
Headtube: 16cm

Rear spacing: 130mm
BB threading: Italian
Dropouts: Campagnolo
Seat post diameter: 27.2mm
Frame number: D54

The frameset has been built up and ridden.
The paint does have some nicks 'n chips but thanks to the splatter/glitter paint you don't really notice. Some tire rub as can be seen in the pics.
Chrome is in great condition. No dents, no rust.

Looks like it is chromed under the paint. Is it?

Good feature of the splitter-splatter is you won't spot chips easily. In case frame chromed you can even more forget about them.

Yeah, it appears to be fully chromed underneath the paint.
It's a really nice frameset, but I'm cleaning house and I'm only keepin' the bikes/frames that are exactly my size.
