For Sale is my Pace RC100!!
This is a rare bike in exceptional condition.
This is one of the first bikes ever made by Pace... number 332 to be exact!! It is stamped on the bottom of the bike... see pic
The RC30 folks have been upgraded to RC35's, the Stem and Cranks have had the yellow paint removed.
It has all the good stuff on it:
*Bullseye Cranks
*Suntour XC Pro rear
*Mavic front derailleur
*Pace front rings
*Pace Front and Rear Hubs
*Magura oil brakes
*Campagnolo Thorr rims
*Ringle skewers
*Merlin Titanium handlebar
*USE Suspension seatpost (I the one that came with the bike too)
*Flight Titanium seat (has beed mended after it cam off its rails)
*Cateye Mity2 speedo
I think its a 18" or 19" frame (its about 19" from the middle of the bottom bracket to the top of the seattupe)
The paint stripping and RC30 to RC35's swapping was done by the Macdonald guy from pace, the one who sold his share to the other co founder of Pace. He lives a few miles away from me and my dad knew him so he did it for me. (no.. it was not free but well worth it)
The bike was my dads but soon after he bought it he slipped a disk in his back so he has only ridden it a few times and he’s 50+ so it was not hard riding lol. After about a year he decided he would not be able to ride it again so he gave it to me but as it was his pride and joy I hated to ride it was if anything were to happen to it he would be very disappointed. So I have ridden it 3 times! I have an Orange that I like better cos I can thrash it!!
I took the bike in to Bikescene for them to check it over and they just stood about drooling. They said it was a beautiful example that was in superb condition. They checked for cracks as lots seem to suffer from it but said it was 100% ok. The elastermas will need to be changed in the folks.
I’m looking for £900 ono.
