Next up to make some space is a bit of a wrench, but here we go...
1985 King of Mercia frame and fork in Orange flamboyant with white contrasts.
Bought as a bike from a relative of the first (as far as I know only) owner. It has been well ridden and the paint shows scars, but mainly rubs and surface rust rather than anything internal. All threads unscrewed nicely. There is fading generally all over and most noticeable on downtube where there was a band-on bottle mount.
The most ‘rusty’ spot - to my eyes - was on the foot rub area on drive side chainstay. I gently rubbed down with wet/dry and it was surface only and the metal under is sound.
To make this a mint bike this would obviously need a respirator, but it’s got a charm and from a distance is quite striking colour etc. So a bit of careful touch-up would improve greatly.
Made for traditional road brakes, not many braze-ons, has mudguard eyes.
Will add exact measurement tomorrow but from memory 56cm.
Not sure what to ask, so... £100 plus post (assume £15) PayPal gift.
Should a purchaser be interested, I would add ‘most of’ the groupset as came on the bike (some was very worn), inc TA cranks, huret mech, bar/stem, Wienmann brakes for a further say £50 to be negotiated. Buyer of frame gets first chance on parts.
I’ll try to get some pictures when built up, too.
