Re:

It was only because I told my friend they all crack. He looked and found it. He’d been riding it regularly.

Re:

I have been told it can be safely repaired due to the alloy type. I have a very reasonable price from a motorsport engineering company to repair so may well have the frame repaired (provided it looks untouched when finished)

Many thanks

The only person I would trust to repair one of these is danson,he's a member on here,or FTW in the states.
They are also clear anodised so any repair will be noticeable unless you have the whole frame striped and re anodised.

Did you get my PM? :)

Re:

Hi everyone,

I have cleaned the bike up and I have to say it’s in really nice condition.

I’ve taken lots of photos as found on the link below:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/Bt5DEuJieCBtsWW39

The forks are in un-damaged condition and with an elastomer kit will be perfect.

The wheels are true with minimal brake area wear. Hope hubs as blue and as smooth as ever.

The cranks have Pace rings which are not worn. Cranks are bright blue with minimal wear- no damage /cracks and the BB is smooth.

The brakes and drivetrain work perfectly. XTR Brakes/Shifters with XT Mechs. I cannot see what the chain and cassette are but they look OK.

Bars are lovely Pace / Renthals that are still very blue- minimal marks.

All Important Manitou stem looks fantastic and also has minimal marks.

Seatpost is original and only fits this frame.

Flight Ti saddle has wear but no rips /bends.

The frame is very tidy indeed with the only damage being the single crack to the headtube. I have had a quote to repair this by a motorsport engineering Company (and avid frame builder) Pro4m Engineering for £50.00.

I thought about doing it but in all honesty time is tight and my interest is 1996+ downhill kit.

As it stands I’d take £600 for the bike. I might listen to offers and can box for you to arrange a courier.

Happy to talk on it. Study the photos.

Many thanks, Jay
