Reducing down my fleet...

1995 Kona Cindercone in turquoise metallic, largely original parts, XT front/rear mech, has newly fitted Sachs Wavey shifters (8spd), Richey Logic brakeset with ORIGINAL pads, also has differing wheelset comprising of XT rear hub and Jaava sealed bearing front hub on Mavic rims. Seatpost is non-factory, nor is the WTB SSTX saddle.

Lovely bike to ride, size wise **EDITED** I am informed it's a 19", it measures 19" centre BB to top of seat tube and 17" from centre BB to top of top tube, seems to me to ride like an 18" and fits me fine at 5'10".

I bought this in a bit of a mess, totally cleaned and polished her up, replaced any worn parts and fully serviced everything. I may also throw in an additional wheelset with same rims on silver parallax hubs as it's current wheels have a couple of buckles in them and are probably past their best (either swap out the wheelset or strip/replace the rims). The frame has clear signs of use, some small areas of rust/stone chips but nothing that looks like it will effect it structurally, its just a really honest frame thats not been touched up/covered over and problems hidden, call it patina if you will.

Photo's to follow (once it stops raining and I get time off work),

Looking to pretty much get back what I paid for it, however taking account of the bits I had to replace, I really should be asking for more.

£200.00 ONO.

NOTE - I WILL NOT POST, however happy to meet/deliver to anyone within around an hour of Nottingham.

Re: 95 KONA Cindercone (complete bike)- PHOTOS

Its not an 18", more like a 19" Kona's are measured from middle of bb to top of seat tube :xmas-wink:

Great bike and one of the best colours :xmas-cool:

Cheers Mark, as I say i'm not certain how they are measured but if I find a sizing/geo chart for it then its got a 13cm headtube to work it all out. I bought it for the colours, this and the orange one they did are my absolute favs! I must admit it's my fav bike to ride, I really shouldn't be selling it but I need to raise funds for yet another new build! My Dekerf Team SL on the post 98 forum was meant to be the last of the year, however theirs a potential new build just over the horizon!

Tom

Re:

FWIW the colour is named “Turquoise Metallic” in the 1995 catalogue.

mkone is right, it’s 19”.
