Tough decision to make but needs must. I recently bought this and some will recognise it as a former steed of Kay/WTB_rider in Germany. It’s a real beauty and is, apart from a little chainsuck, in excellent condition throughout. Spec list as follows.....
Frame: 12” WTB Phoenix
Fork: Potts type 2
Headset: WTB Chris King
Front brake hanger: WTB
Wheels: WTB new paradigm hubs, Speedmaster Rims, WTB tyres, WTB QR’s
Brakes: WTB Canti (US Version)
Gears: M900 mechs, chainset (with unknown Ti BB) and STI units
Saddle: WTB SST
Post: American Classic post (original that came with frame)
Stem: WTB
Bar: WTB Titanium
Grips: WTB trail
Pedals: Suntour XC Pro
The only faults I should mention are a small nick in the covering on the saddle nose, front mech not shifting properly but I haven’t had time to see if it’s down to adjustment or a sticky shifter. There is a crack (or cracks, again I’ve not yet inspected) to the cantis but replacements will be included, as they were to me.
I bought the bike as it stands, minus the bar and stem. I’ve sourced the WTB Titanium bar and, slightly newer, WTB stem at considerable expense but I think it was worth the outlay.
Price is £2300 plus your chosen method of postage. The packaging will be done at my expense.
Sadly this post is let down by a lack of pics but I can send what I have via email and am happy to take additional pics (at weekends) as requested.
