Anyone fancy a nice summer project ?
I don't think I am ever going to get around to renovating and building this up so its up for sale.
1999 Cannondale CAAD3 with Fatty D Headshock
The best Ashton/Volvo colourway
Size Large with equates to about a 19" I think. Can do measurements if needed.
27.2mm Seatpost
Rear disk compatible.
This has literally had one (tall) lady owner with most of its life spent cruising along Bournemouth sea front.
Overall the frame is in really excellent condition, no cracks, threads all good etc, but for transparency the following points should be noted. These are reflected in the low asking price.
1) The Fatty D needs a complete service. This one can be tackled at home although there are still lots of places that will do this for you. Parts are available from Qwerty. I do have the headshock top cap (not pictured) and this will be included.
2) The previous owner painted over a couple of light scratches on the top tube with badly matching spray paint. This comes off with nail varnish remover. Personally it looks better with the scratches than the spray! Probably an hours work to get it off.
3) There are a couple of very small areas of paint that are bubbling (typical Cannondale!)
4) The seat tube has a small pinch from the front mech
Price is £85 SOLD (paypal Friends & Family or add 4% for fees) collected. I will post at actual cost.
