SOLD 1992 Rocky Mountain Blizzard

Okay, so four children, a job with travel and a house that needs restoring means I'm having to be realistic about my long "to do list" of builds.

And so here is a fairly scarce opportunity to purchase a lovely early 90's Rocky Mountain Blizzard frame and forks set. So if you have been inspired by the recent Canadian BOTM (check out Woody's lush build), then here is your chance to go Maple.

As usual, express an interest here, PM and Paypal gift secures.

I've always loved the Blizzard model since I met a chap touring one round Thailand in the early 90s. It's a practical go anywhere model which is still light and responsive enough to be properly quick. Build it with Powerlites and Revolutions and it looks nigh on perfect.

This one is a 1991 or 1992 version in unrestored condition: needs new paint but is perfectly sound. Frame is made from the excellent Tange Prestige Concept tubing, which means it has variable diameter tubes that are wider near the head tube, and also a seat tube that is eliptical in section near the BB to add lateral strength.

Fork is a cute Spinner-built P2 style affair.

I'm not sure on year: it has cable stops for the front derailleur routing rather than a noodle, which suggests 92, but the serial number is 91. Maybe built in 91 for the 92 model year. Full serial # is T9108 474.

Anyway - catalogues are all here so have a rummage:

SOLD £130 posted to the UK. Will send it internationally at cost.

Vitals:

We all know that the drum is the most important instrument, but Top Tube is the most important bike measurement. C to C is 22"; effective C to C is 22.5"

Seat tube is 16" C to C, or 20" Centre BB to the very top of the tube. It takes a 1 1/8th headset and is 135mm between the rear dropouts.

Thanks for looking

:D

I'd go 1992, if that is 20" CTT then it's a 20" frame and you might want to double check the effective top tube, it should be ~23.2"

Seatpost size for anyone interested should be 27.0
