Very, very expensive. You can shift the hub gear under load and while coasting, and it could be much faster and more secure than a front derailleur. That is an advantage.
 
i rode one of these a few weeks back, i actually really liked it, it was on a gravel demo bike from the importer, the shift was perfect, basically it felt like the best front shift you will ever get, up or down, i know that sounds dumb as it shifts in the hub but the feeling was the same. i was a bit moody with Hambini though, he gave his opinion on it without actually doing anymore than looking at the website and not actually having a hub to test or pull apart, felt that was a bit naughty of him. i do like the idea though, for me the win is closer ratio cassettes, the one massive downside of single ring systems is that sometimes there are massive jumps between each sprocket, having a hub with a drop in gear similar to that of a 50t ring to a 34t ring means being able to run a closer ratio on the rear cassette, and that really appeals to me, basically the ratios of 2 x 11 etc with the simplicity of the 1 x 11 system.
 
Just a modern version of the SRAM and Sturmey Archer offerings which failed because neither was marketed and hyped in the way this overly expensive nonsense is. What determines whether or not something is good now is a YouTuber seal of approval

I have a Shimano 7 speed nexus hub on my electric commuter bike acquired earlier this year - and frankly, it's the best gear change I've ever had. Super smooth, super quick (it's basically instant) - just put it in the gear you want and go. It makes me wonder why they ever bothered with rear mechs at all (yeah, I know reasons - but they don't feel significant enough for most riders). Imagine if we'd had 50+ years of R&D going into hub gears?
 
I run IGH on most of my bikes. I love the crisp shifting and low maintenance. The alfine tensioners can even take up a good amount of slack and allow you to run a 2x or 3x up front along with the IGH
 
We've been here countless times before - I had the Sram Dual Drive system, for a laugh I was going to fit a triple up front
