Well I just about survived Snowdonia Marathon  probably shouldn't have done it as I had a cold for the week leading up to it and was still coughing up crap on the morning of the race :?

Never been there before and didn't think the scenery would be quite as spectacular as it is 8) we had every type of weather, snow, hail, sunshine, thunder and lightening on top of the constant howling wind

Couldn't push too hard as my chest was a bit wheezy so pretty pleased with 3hr 34min

Good work that man (and very good time for a hilly mara, must have been nice and scenic!)

Calling out any other Retrobike Runners? Where are you?

Im in (early) training for VLM at the mo, going OK, will know more after a 10K this weekend.

3.34 with a cold?? Good effort..... My PB over that course is 3.31 from a couple of years ago, well off my 2.48 best. The weather that year, as always for Snowdon, was epic. On the final climb the mist was so thick you couldn't see your feet. Good times. It's easily one of my favourite marathon courses, I love the climbs off the start and out of Betws-y-coed, but then I'm strange like that...

I'm currently getting some base miles in for next years London Marathon and hopefully getting back to fell-racing again soon!! Time for a RetroBike Athletics Club??
