SNOW

And now for something completely different, a pic from the Great (not so) White North. it's 7C here this afternoon. We're all wandering around scratching our heads and wondering if we should break out the shorts.

I'm glad it only hung around for a couple of days.....a welcome 8c today but slush and ice in the shadows caused a few issues descending 722ft in a few minutes!

One of the positive aspects of this weather is how it brings people and communities together. People getting each other out of ditches, putting a hand to the back of the neighbours' cars, asking after the elderly stuck in their houses.

We picked up a family whose car had left the road last winter, and I am going to be a proud godfather to the daughter's bairn in a couple of months.

Perhaps it brings out the primal instincts in us, and that is the real wonder of the snow, getting in touch with our survival instincts.
