Small parts....what pleasures you!

A recent on-forum chat, made me think how a small part, can make you happy.

Yes, we all want the unobtainium framed unicorn bike.....but sometimes its the smallest of things that bring us joy.

I've just found a sakae seat post for my 89 team marin, and it reminds me of my "yoof"....when weights weren't important and everyday was a good day to taco a wheel!

So what small bit brings you joy everytime you see it! Do tell! With images if you can....actual or painted with words!

Grips, clear grips to be precise.

Carried over from my bmx days, would have them on every bike if I could source them, and at a reasonable price.

I love these, simple and dependable. If anything gets knocked on the ride slap it into friction and all's well. At the rate they last Ive got enough sets to last me well into the afterlife

This simple plastic top cap. Reminds me of riding back in the day, looking down and reading those words. I got one for my next build, when I pulled it out of the packet memories came flooding back.

Ritchey bits. I still ride with the same Ritchey top cap I rode with back in uni. It was a a gift from a very good friend who I don't see these days (distance and age) and it still reminds me of those years when I look down.

Just to play with the joints and turns the pivots and all round fidgeting with them is to make me smile
