Unusual as not seen a Hirame touring style frame before

I took the bait on this one as it wasn't too far to collect and eyeballing the listing I also thought it might be a larger sized frame - which it is luckily. 58cm approx.

It's a bit of a mystery frames, the seller didn't really have any more info beyond what was in the listing as to its history. Very faint serial number on the seat tube just above the bottom bracket which i think conforms to what is expected from kuwahara (yy mm xxxx) which puts it at 83. Seen the old evian advert scan for the hirame frame sets, but this one has cantilever brakes so doesn't conform, unless they were put on later (not sure how likely that would be). I've stripped it down as there's quite a few bits I want for another build I'm doing, will try to find out more about it and rebuild it at some point over the summer.
