Small Kona needed

ancient biker

Devout Dirtbag
Hi

Our eldest boy is starting to outgrow his 20 inch wheeled bike and i need to source either a 24 inch or 26 inch wheel bike (should have a 14 inch frame with the 26 inch wheels).

I'd prefer steel but being nine, he's more worried about other things so aluminium would also do the trick. Needs to be a complete bike that doesn't require anything/much work.

Does anyone have anything?

Many thanks

Darren

I've got a 16" Lava Dome, freehub needs a service but otherwise in good condition. Curve cantis, stx etc dark green metallic colour

I've got a very nice Trek, it is 26 inch wheeled and 14 inch c-t...

Condition is nearly perfect and original, although group is low alivio/acera mix...

Paint is a maroon marbley fade to black jobbie...

Looking for £100 posted to your door! Pics if interested!

Many thanks for the replies.

A 16 inch kona is just too much of a stretch for the wee man.

I think i've seen that Trek on here and as Roy Walker would say on Catchphrase, 'it's good but it's not right'. He's sold on the idea of a kona and though i've toyed with the idea of sticking some kona decals on any old bike, i can't bring myself to do it.

Still looking

How about buying a regular sized Kona (or anything really) and buying one of the heavily discounted Kona frames from CRC (got some nice small sized ones). Swap the bits over and sell the other frame?

Yes, i've seen those frames and that may be an option. I'll have another look but i'd imagine there may be differences with things like bottom bracket sizes, headset sizes and this obsession people have with disc brakes. I suppose the best way forward is costing these within the options as it may make financial sense.

Kona Nunu, same as this:

Done less than 100 miles, It's near perfect, except for a scuff on the brake lever.

PM me if you're interested. I can get photos too.
