Old School Hero
Hi there everyone.
I am selling this little 'Dale - I bought it for my daughter who has now outgrown it. I basically put all the old parts I had in my drawer - some XLite downhill bars / ChickeStix / XT thumbies. Its got a few frame chips but no significant dings / crimps / issues
I have taken some pictures of the size - its 16" from crank centre to top of seat post binder. It suits someone 5'0 - 5'4''
Its really light, my daughter never appreciated it and I hope someone else can pick it up for their kid, give a bit of love and have their kid race around on it. Its on semi slicks which suit roads and tow paths. It drives me crazy - I couldn't afford this bike when I was kid (and lusted after it), I bought one for my daughter who treated it like a red headed step-child ...
There is very minor play in the rear sprocket, I left it and didn't see any problems - as I pulled this out to sell it I can feel tiny play in the headset, I am pretty confident that's just an old stem which needs tightening up after not having used for 2 years. Any reasonable RB'er will know this is a super light little race bike that you can buy for kid, bash around and probably resell afterwards.
Frame: 1991 (I think - I see some say its a 1993) Cannondale M2000 - 16"
Fork: Pepperoni
Headset: Ritchey
Stem: Control Tech
Handlebar: XLite downhill
Brakes: Coda
Brake Pads: Koolstop
Brake Levers: Gold XLite Chickenstix (!)
Shifters: Shimano XT thumbies
Front Derailleur: Shimano XT
Rear Derailleur: Shimano XT
Cranks: Ritchey Logic
Rims: Mavic 281
Hubs: Shimano LX (I think) - fronts a parallax
Tyres: commercial semi-slick - put on 2 years ago
Saddle: Charge
Seatpost: Ritchey
I'm happy to send over any pictures people want - I'd prefer to sell locally as I dont think its worth boxing for the money (and risking getting properly dinged)
