small but mighty - tiny cotic bfe

Been after a more capable mountain bike for my partner who is quite small. I'm a big cotic fan so was looking for an extra small soul - but there aren't many around. I got pipped to the post a few weeks ago but then this frame popped up on ebay over last week and I nabbed it at the last minute.

photo is just thrown together with whatever I had in the garage to make sure it will fit and then its a case of sourcing forks and wheels. Ive got some brakes on the way from merlin and a nice XTR M9000 groupset that can get transferred over from my bontrager which will then get reverted to a retro build.

Finally got this finished and out for a first ride. Thanks to @dablk for the wheels and to @tangent for the fork.

Picked up some cheap slx brakes from Merlin, very cheap saddle and raceface seatpost from CRC and the rest was cribbed from the parts bin or other bikes.

Verdict from my partner is positive, which is a relief

Looks awesome + never ridden a Cotic - but always admired as they have a bit of a Bontrager vibe to them… delighted to see forks getting used as the ought too
