SLX Shifters and chain rings

Hi,

I went 1x10 straight after buying some new parts and have just upgraded my right hand shifter so have a few unused and good condition parts for sale.

SLX M670 3x10 Shifters - £25
Left hand shifter unused and still in packaging. Right hand shifter used but in very good condition.

SLX 38 and 24 tooth chainrings - £15
Unused, removed before chainset fitted.

can the rings be used on a 9 speed chain.

"Going the other direction, using wider chains with chainrings intended for narrower chains is not generally a major problem if there's only a one- or two- generation difference. The only problem you might run into is that the chain will be more liable to rub on the inside of the bigger chainrings in the small/small crossover gears, gears you shouldn't be using in any case."

So should be ok.
