Slipping transmission

I have a STX-RC parallax freehub that, I'm pretty sure, is the cause of my transmission slipping and jumping under load. I've stripped and serviced the hub, but didn't dismantle the freehub and the problem remains. I think it needs stripping and rebuilding.

I've watched RJ the bike guy's video and think it would be prudent to get a spare just in case I bugger it up. Anyone know of a supplier for these kind of parts?

Re:

Actually they often do this and don’t need stripping. Remove freehub with 10mm Allen key - sometimes they need a big socket extension on them to remove. Then....Just keep on squirting GT85 inside until the pawls free up, then when you have a nice clickety clickety click, you slowly drip oil into the tiny tiny gap in the rear face of the freehub between the outer rotating bit and the inner screw-it-onto-the-axle-bit. And then rotate it, and you will see the oil being drawn into the freehub. Use fairly thick oil if you have it. This will then be a light lube which will keep the inside of the freehub turning nicely. And quietly. So if you want a big Hope Click - then this won’t do it.....

Re:

I had same issue on mine after grotty winter commuting.

Used same method above and i was surprised i managed to sort it.
Perseverance.

I've had the same slippage, a good rinse with GT85 and a light oil (3 in 1 or similar) sorted it. Thinking about it after, I probably overdid the grease when servicing the wheel bearings, and the grease migrated into the freehub causing the pawls to stick. Whatever it was, had no problems since.

I know it's possibly a stupid question, but are you absolutely sure it's not the chain skipping from a new chain / worn cassette? If it only happens in one gear then it's cassette not hub.
