I intend to run a shimano DX front derailleur (bottom pull) with a STX RC tripple crank. Sheldon Brown's website says a 110 / 113 bottom bracket would do the trick (fitting wise for the STX RC crank). However my question is do I need to take into account the DX derailleur I intend to use when opting for the 110 or the 113 shimano bottom bracket. Or will it not matter? If anyone has any experiance running a similar set up please let me know your thoughts on the matter.

You should be fine. You don't say the thickness of the seat tube - if it's 34.9 then go with 113 definitely.

Seat post is a 26.6 so would you still go with a 113 or would a 110 make a neater job? The seat post clamp is a 30.6mm btw.

Hmm, with a fat seat tube (sounds like an aluminum frame) I would play safe and go for 113. The front mech otherwise not be able to shift onto the inner chain ring.

It is actually a steel frame, but I think I will go for the 113 anyway as just seems to me like the safer option. Thanks for your responses though, it's much appreciated.
