Evening all
I've recently built up a singlespeed project and have had problems with chain slip when under load. A bit of internet research suggests that this is due to chain being too long, and the tensioner pushing down rather than up. Here's a pic:
I'm confident that components are all ok and chainline is good. I'm also going to shorten the chain as much as I can. Question; is the chain tensioner pictured able to be converted to push up rather than down? The previous s/s I built used an old rear mech and I've never had an issue with that. What do you think?
