I tried the half link on my old ratio of 42x23 and it worked fine, But now i have changed to 42x20 i bought one of the gusset tensioners of Charlie, and splashed out on a coloured chain to pretty it all up a bit.

Everything works fine and the tensioner is pretty much silent which is what i wanted

I'm planning on using 38/18 as its relatively flat around my way too - short steep climbs and a few long fireroad drags.

The acid test will be Chicksands :shock:

I'm using 34/17, because I had a 34 ring. Works great off road and is still fun in the city (feel like I'm riding a big bmx) .
