Hi guys after a single speed mountain bike please hard tail steel or Ali not to fussed 19 or 20 " will be perfect must be able to fit 700 c wheels as well though disc or v brake I am open to,anything really would consider a geared one as long it was cheap enough for me to convert.
Cheers

If you are willing to convert then just buy any cheap old Marin or something similar. Not too sure which MTB frames and fork will take 700c wheels though. It will mess up the front end geometry anyway.

Thanks for your help wanted to do something like a cannondale fatboy they have 700c wheels, going to look at a kona on Monday but open to more options.

Forgot about the fatboy. not strictly an MTB though You could use a road frame and fit flat bars. With the right frame + fork this could work as well.

Yes I want to ride it on the new BMX track as well which you can with single speed mountain bike, tried a cruiser but been a bit older and very tall it felt awkward.
Won't be racing on it just some winter training when not on the velodrome

+1

Magic gear on 1994(?) Eldridge Grade is 42 x 20 / 44 x 18 if that's any use.

If you are using 700c wheels you will need discs as the blocks will not reach the rims. My mate rewelded the lugs on his explosif to run road wheels.
