That was the most commercially successful, and whilst it was a great Prince song she covered, her version has a certain something.
 
She is more or less the Irish Elvis; had Elvis himself not been Irish.

I just wish we could swap Eddi Reader for Sinéad.

You would have to prise Liz Fraser from my cold dead hands though, even if you have Shania Twain AND Alicia Keys ready in hand for the swap.

I think O'Connor may end up writing some great material; a little like Emmylou Harris, who really only became a writer later in her career.

She has the voice to see her through the next thirty years, let's hope her temperament grows mature enough to sustain her career.
