a rare and hard to find SID MOTTRAM 21 3/4" frame finished in a nice burgundy red colour with chrome rear stays and lower section of fr forks , with campag ends.
not sure of age but have listed components below
21 3/4" from centre of crank up to centre of top tube and 22 1/2" along top tube . with campag fr and rr ends now confirmed .
gb forged alloy butted stem with matching engraved bars ( gb on 1 side and map of british isles on other both encased in wreath) mafac capped brake levers operating on universal mod 61 centre pull brakes .
suntour power shifters on a band although lugs for bolt on style are on frame as well , only running rear shimano 600 rear derailuer , fr deraileur is not fitted or supplied .
stronglight ' depose ' 175 mm crank set and fitted with lyotard ' no 23 marcel berthat ' type flat pedals .
rigida 27" narrow alloy rims fitted with hutchinson hp22 tyres laced on to shimano hubs both quick release .
campag 26.8 alloy saddle stem with twin bolt clamp for saddle rails fitted with an old and used brown brooks cut away saddle .
as can be seen a right mix of components from differant ages .
worst part of bike is around fr derailier mounting area the paint has flaked off exposing aprox 1 sq inch of tubing .
nice fancy lugwork that is white underlined , very good chromework . no reynolds stickers but very light .
bike is rideable as is and could be in daily use with new cables and a quick re grease where nedded
i am open to offers over £125 for this classic .
